A 4/4 Gems 2 violin is considered the best violin for beginner adults. These violins are a perfect choice for young beginning violin players who want to start with a higher quality instrument. Also, these violins are the best violins for adult beginners who want to learn how to play the violin as a hobby. What these two categories of aspiring musicians have in common is excitment, curiosity and a careful allocation of financial resources.
For those who are new to violin but no strangers to playing a musical instrument or they just want to venture into the world of violins deeper, we recommend Gliga's intermediate violins - Gems 1 or the advanced violins - Gama.
The combination of woods that is used at the manufacturing of the Gems 2 violin for adult beginners and young students is as follows:
- Solid Carpathian Resonance Spruce - comes from the Romanian mountains (Latin name: Picea Abies (L) Karst) - used for the top plate of the instrument, the bass bar, the blocks, the corner-blocks, the linings, and the sound post.
- Solid Carpathian Flamed Mountain Maple - comes from the Romanian mountains (Latin name: Acer Pseudoplatanus L.) - used for the back plate of the instruments, the neck, the scroll, the peg box, the ribs, and the bridge.
- Ebony - comes from India (Latin name: Diospyros sp.) - used for the accessories: fingerboard, pegs, top nut, purfling, chinrest, tailpiece, the saddle, and the end pin.
